While my parents taught me the importance of faith, I was almost 21 years old before I heeded their advice to “Take time to listen to Him.” Their note was written to me in a Bible that I opened while at Purdue University.
After graduation with a degree in Building Construction Management, I began a number of years discerning God’s will for me. Some would say that it was the road less traveled, but in hindsight I can see God’s hand in all of my years of wandering. From the bricks and mortar of job sites, I discovered that God was calling me as Jesus had called fishermen years ago, and I was ordained a priest on June 12, 2010.
After four years of serving as an Associate Pastor at two separate parishes in Hamilton County, and a year as Administrator of St. Charles Borromeo, I was assigned Pastor of our parish in July 2015.
Most of my free time is spent running, biking, and visiting with family and friends. Peru has quickly become a home for me, and it is an honor to serve the parishioners of St. Charles, as well as individuals in the Circus Capital of the World!
My favorite verse is Mary’s advice to “Do whatever he tells you“ (John 2:5).
